Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is converting YouTube to MP3/MP4 legal?
In the US and many other countries, legality depends on local copyright law. In the US, fair use is assessed case by case (17 U.S.C. §107) and is not an automatic right to download any work. Copying or sharing without required rights is prohibited.
This is general information, not legal advice. If in doubt, check current regulations or consult a lawyer.
Which services are supported?
The supported services list is shown on the page and is regularly refreshed by the administrator.
Why do I need to click "Verify link" first?
Link verification fetches metadata, thumbnail and available formats/qualities. Only then can conversion be started correctly.
How long are files available for download?
Output files are automatically removed after the retention time configured by the administrator (e.g. 15 minutes).
Can I cancel an ongoing conversion?
Yes. A cancel button is available during processing. The administrator can also cancel jobs in the admin panel.
Why can't I download some videos?
Some materials may be private, removed, geo-restricted, or require login. In such cases conversion may be impossible.
What happens to files after conversion?
Output files are stored temporarily and removed automatically after the retention period. Archived job statistics may remain in the database for analytics and administration.
Can I convert an entire playlist?
Yes. For supported playlist links you can choose full-playlist conversion or single-video conversion. For playlists, unavailable items are reported.
Why are there limits and captcha?
Rate limits and captcha protect the service from abuse, bots, and infrastructure overload. This keeps the service stable for normal users.
Does the service store my login credentials for source platforms?
No. The service does not require a user account for basic conversion and does not store your passwords for external platforms.
