This document explains what data is processed and why.
1. Data controller
The data controller is the operator of the audio/video conversion service. The controller determines the purposes and means of processing data required for the service to operate.

2. Definitions
For this policy: "service" means the website and its features, "user" means a person using the service, and "data" includes information provided by the user and technical data generated during use.
3. Scope and data categories
The service may process the following categories of data: source URL, selected conversion parameters, job ID, processing status, technical logs, error information, and file metadata (e.g. title, thumbnail).
In the contact form, data provided by the user is processed, including name (or nickname), e-mail address, subject, and message content.
The service does not require creating a user account for basic conversion functionality.
4. Purposes and legal bases
Data is processed to provide conversion services, handle job queue processing, prepare files for download, and present conversion progress information.
Data may also be processed to prevent abuse, maintain infrastructure security, diagnose errors, and defend against automated overload.
Legal bases include necessity for service provision, legitimate interest of the controller in security and technical analytics, and user consent where required.
5. Data retention and file deletion
Output files are stored temporarily and removed automatically after the retention period configured by the administrator. Retention time may change for technical or security reasons.
Archived conversion records (e.g. statistics, dates, formats, statuses) may remain in the database after files are removed from disk to enable load analysis, service improvements, and operational auditing.
Users should download ready files promptly after task completion. After retention expires, file recovery may be impossible.
6. Data security
The controller implements appropriate technical and organizational measures, including rate limiting, captcha mechanisms, source filtering, log monitoring, and restricted administrative access.
Despite security measures, internet data transmission and IT systems can never guarantee complete elimination of risk.
7. Cookies and local storage
The service may use cookies and localStorage/sessionStorage to maintain sessions, remember interface language, handle modal messages, and improve usability.
Users can manage cookies and local storage in browser settings. Restricting these mechanisms may cause selected features to malfunction.
8. Data recipients and external services
To a limited extent, the service may rely on external providers, such as hosting providers, anti-spam/captcha tools, SMTP e-mail services, and technical libraries. Shared data is minimized to what is necessary for each purpose.
The controller makes reasonable efforts to work with providers that ensure an adequate level of security and legal compliance.
9. User rights
Users have the right to obtain information about processing of their data and, where justified, request rectification, restriction, or deletion.
Execution of such requests may be limited where data is necessary to demonstrate lawful operation, defend legal claims, or comply with legal obligations.

10. Protection of minors
The service is not specifically directed to children. If credible information is received about unauthorized data submission by a minor, the controller will take appropriate steps to limit further processing.
11. Policy changes
This privacy policy may be updated, especially when service functionality changes, legal requirements change, or organizational changes occur on the controller side.
